Traditional Hummus served with Cranberry Walnut Pesto ribbons

Traditional Hummus

  • 3 C cooked chickpeas or 2 (15oz) cans chickpeas drain liquid but reserve!
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • ½ C Tahini or use ¼ C Peanut butter
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 5 Tbsp reserved Chickpea liquid (as desired)
  • ½ C Olive Oil (reserve 2 Tbsp for finish dress)
  • 1 tsp Amazing Heat seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp chopped Parsley for finish
  • Optional Pine nuts 1 Tbsp
  • Toss all ingredients into a blender or food processor until very smooth. Add the Chickpea liquid
    to your personal taste for consistency.
    Place Hummus in a bowl, and if serving in a traditional style, dress with Olive Oil, Pine nuts, Parsley and a sprinkle more of the Amazing Heat.
    THIS RECIPE WORKS AS A BASE TO EDIT AND INFUSE WITH OTHER FLAVORS.

WE are wild for this Hummus, use it for dipping, and make a good turkey or chicken sandwich, a GREAT sandwich!

  • 2 (15 oz) Canned chickpeas (drained with liquid reserved)
  • 1 can Pumpkin Puree (15 oz)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ¼ C Peanut Butter smooth (or use Tahini if nut intolerant)
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • ¼ C Olive Oil
  • 4 Tbsp of reserved Chickpea liquid (as desired)
  • 1 tsp Amazing Heat
  • ¼ tsp Pummull Spice
  • Optional garnishes; chopped walnuts, walnut oil, pumpkin seeds

Toss all ingredients into a blender or food processor until very smooth. Add the Chickpea liquid to
your personal taste for consistency, if spicier tastes increase Heat by ½ tsp. You can use any of the optional garnishes, or all for topping!
